Outdoor region Wilder Kaiser

Climbing with history

The Wilder Kaiser mountain formation is one of Austria's most famous climbing destinations. In 1977, international climbing history was written on the Fleischbank pillar in the Pumprisse route with the breakthrough to the 7th degree of difficulty. Well-known alpine names such as Totenkirchl, Predigtstuhl and Fleischbank inspire awe and sporting ambition in alpinists.

In addition to the alpine classics, a large number of sport climbing routes of all levels of difficulty have been created in the climbing gardens on the Wilder Kaiser. From the practice crags in the Kaiserklettergarten to the Schleierwasserfall climbing hotspot, which has some of the most difficult routes in Europe, beginners and passionate climbers alike will find their own individual challenge and personal rock climbing experience.

The Wilder Kaiser offers sport climbing, multi-pitch routes, via ferratas and climbing gyms for climbers of all abilities. If you are coming with the whole family and children, the Ellmauer Kaiserklettergarten is highly recommended. You can find the appropriate topos for all areas in print quality on Climbers Paradise Tirol.
