250m long icefall can be reached in 10 minutes from the road
Directly on the state border with Germany, it can be reached from the road in 10 minutes. Leads up several steep pitches. Depending on your mood, you can turn around and abseil over the trees. The entire icefall is certainly over 250m long.
At first it was quite easy up an ice gully to the first belay. This is where the real difficulties begin. Up steep steps several times. Secure everything yourself. The icefall goes much further up than can be seen in the topo. Abseiling is done over trees.
