A mixed icefall that has it all. Visible directly from the road.

A mixed icefall that has it all! Visible directly from the road, it takes about 15 minutes to climb up the steep forest slope to the 80 m high icefall. It is pure ice climbing up to the first belay, then mixed climbing follows until you can climb back up onto the free-hanging icicle. Abseiling is via the route.

Journey
You can easily reach Ehrwald and Griesen by car or public transport.
However, the icefall is located right in between and is therefore some distance from the nearest bus stop and/or parking lot.

Visible directly from the road, you can reach the 80 m high icefall in approx. 15 minutes via the steep forest slope.
