Surrounded by beautiful flower meadows in summer, the Darmstädter Hütte sits enthroned in an impressive high mountain basin south of St. Anton at 2,384 m above sea level. The gneiss rocks around the hut offer endless opportunities for climbing enthusiasts. The climbing garden has up to 70 routes in 7 sectors with difficulty levels from 3 to 9+. The limestone rock often requires technically demanding slab and steep wall and ledge climbing, and there is also a bouldering area with 5 different walls of varying degrees of difficulty.
