Seefeld Panorama via ferrata
The panoramic via ferrata to Seefelder Spitze offers breathtaking views over the entire high plateau of the Seefeld region, extending to the Zugspitze. It provides excellent rest spots to catch your breath and is a true mountain experience for experienced via ferrata enthusiasts. The 450-meter-long route covers dolomite-like limestone with numerous longer vertical sections that are sparsely equipped with rungs and are quite exposed in parts. It's an enjoyable via ferrata with many B/C sections that can be climbed in half a day with the help of the cable cars.

APPROACH TO THE WALL:
The marked path towards Reither Spitze, below the southwest cliffs of Seefelder Spitze, starts directly at the Rosshütte cable car mid-station. From this hiking trail, the entry point to the via ferrata is reached in just a few steps. There is a bench right at the entry, in a small niche, where you can safely put on your climbing gear away from falling rocks. If you want to extend the tour, you can also hike up from the valley or ride an (e-)bike to Rosshütte.
DESCENT:
From the summit of Seefelder Spitze, descend on the high trail to Seefelder Joch, where the cable car station is located. Alternatively, you can descend directly north from the summit to Rosshütte.
NOTE:
This via ferrata, rated C in difficulty, is recommended mainly for athletic and advanced climbers. The very airy vertical sections and rest spots with panoramic views at various ledges provide special enjoyment and invite you to savor the experience. You can extend the tour by continuing from Seefelder Spitze along the exposed, partly rope-secured black mountain path to Reither Spitze.
RENTAL OPTIONS:
Climbing equipment for the via ferrata can be rented at the Rosshütte cable car base station.
CAUTION: In spring, you may encounter old snowfields on the approach and descent.
