Climbing has been a tradition in the Seefeld region since 1922. Climbing enthusiasts such as Bernhard Prommer, Reini Scherer and Heinz Zak as well as Bernhard Hangl opened tour after tour here and left their mark.
From challenging sport climbing on the "Chinese Wall" to enjoyable climbing in the Mauerbogen climbing garden - the region, situated on a high plateau at 1,200 m above sea level, has something for everyone!
And if you are looking for a change from the rock, we recommend the Möserer See, an idyllic mountain lake at 1,292 m above sea level, the Alpenbad Leutasch with its wonderful sauna area or a hike to the Wettersteinhütte in the Wetterstein mountains.

Best of climbing in the Seefeld region - outdoor fun in its most beautiful form
- Leutasch/Chinese Wall
The idyllic Leutasch Valley lies at around 1,100m, nestled between the Karwendel, Wetterstein and Hohe Munde mountains and is famous for the Gaistal Alpine pasture paradise. The wide, green valley is a real outdoor Eldorado for climbers. Experienced climbers are in good hands on the Great Wall of China: there are 183 routes of difficulty levels 5 to 9, which are not easy to crack and offer many technical features and surprises. Overall, the wall boasts impressive lines, with the individual sectors having different characteristics: Small and larger ledges and holes, mostly long lines, often slightly overhanging, but sometimes also vertical and heavily overhanging - it remains exciting and varied in any case! The "Puls 2000", one of Tyrol's Great Lines, is particularly famous. With views of the Stubai Alps, you can climb on the Chinese Wall in a real natural paradise. - Climbing garden Mauerbogen
31 routes with mostly good rock quality in difficulty levels 3 to 7 - this is what the Mauerbogen climbing paradise in the Seefeld region - Tirol's high plateau - has to offer. Outdoor fun is mainly for experienced climbers here, as the wall climbs on holes and ledges are rated rather hard. The climbing garden is located at an altitude of 1,200 m and faces south. And after a strenuous tour, you can relax in the Alpenbad in Leutasch. - Flämenwandl
The Flämenwandl in Leutasch is the perfect climbing garden for warm, long summer days on the rock. 23 routes in difficulty levels 3 to 6 on rock with a good grip await climbers here. This makes the wall particularly suitable for beginners and families. The climbing garden is located right next to the Leutascher Ache river, so cooling off is just a step away. If you like, you can take something to barbecue with you and round off your climbing day perfectly with a small fire on the banks.
