Descent
Descend to the left via the hiking trail number 926.
Public transport
Get off at the Plangeroß bus stop. Then follow the signs to the Kaunergrathütte.
Journey
A12 Inntal motorway to the Imst exit OR via the Fernpass/Reschenpass to Imst. Take the Pitztaler Bundesstraße L16 from Arzl im Pitztal via Wenns in the direction of St. Leonhard. After the village of Weißwald, continue for approx. 500 m until you reach the car park of the Rüsselsheimer- and Kaunergrathütte. From the car park follow trail 927 in the direction of Plangeroß. After the bridge over the Pitze, ascend to the Kaunergrathütte on trail 927.

Free parking at the car park for the Kaunergrat- or Rüsselsheimerhütte.
