In Pitztal, you can learn to climb from scratch or safely consolidate what you have learned in the climbing gym. The practice tours in the Jerzens-Hochzeiger climbing park in the Oberland range from 2nd to 4th level of difficulty and are therefore a perfect climbing spot for anyone who wants to learn the sport for the first time. There are a total of 4 certified climbing gardens for families. The Gletscherstube climbing garden is particularly recommended - if you're looking for an adventure with the whole family close to the glacier in Tyrol, this is the place for you, stunning views included!
The Oberland is the perfect playground for via ferrata lovers. The via ferratas at the entrance to the valley near Arzl and in the Pitztal Glacier climbing park are ideal for letting off steam. In winter, the waterfalls freeze over and the Pitztal in Tyrol becomes an Eldorado for ice climbers, not only in the Oberland: on over 30 ice climbing routes with a length of up to 160 m, all fans of vertical climbing will find their cold happiness.

The Pitztal, located in the district of Imst in the Oberland, with its communities of Arzl im Pitztal, Wenns, Jerzens and St. Leonhard im Pitztal has a length of 40 km and is crossed by the river Pitze. Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, is approx. 60 km away and can be easily reached via the highway.

- The Tiefental Alm
at 1,880 m is located on the Pitztaler Almenweg in the Oberland and makes every hiker's heart in Tyrol beat faster: you can enjoy excellent home cooking in the middle of a fantastic landscape in a beautiful high valley in Tyrol. - If you want to go higher, you should definitely head up to the Taschachhaus at 2,432 m. Between the tongues of the Taschachferner and the Sexergertenferner, the Taschachhaus is a starting point for alpine high-altitude tours, ice tours or hikes lasting several days. If the weather doesn't play ball, the hut has its own climbing wall where you can let off steam.
- If you want to combine climbing and alpine flair, you should definitely visit the Plangeross climbing garden near the Kaunergrathütte at 2,817 m above sea level. The climbing garden can be reached from the hut in around 3 minutes and has a total of 21 routes - it is also ideal for beginners.
- In summer, when the hot weather in the Oberland drives everyone up to the heights, you can cool off at the Pitztal power spots with their waterfall platforms. You can experience the spectacle up close on accessible platforms and refresh yourself with ice-cold, clear glacier water.
