Bouldering in Paznaun

445 times pure pleasure

If you want to climb or boulder, you are spoiled for choice in the Paznaun Valley. High above Galtür, at 2,000 m, is the Silvapark - one of the best bouldering areas in Tyrol. Especially in the summer months, when it is very hot in many places, the (climbing) temperatures here are pleasant. Bernd Zangerl, the "bouldering pope" of Tyrol, opened the first boulders here and founded the most difficult boulder in Tyrol with Anam Cara 8C. There are now around 445 routes in all grades, as well as Austria's first children's bouldering area.

But that's not all: several via ferratas, including one especially for families, a bouldering wall in the Alpinarium and 2 climbing arenas in the vicinity of the Jamtaler and Heidelberger Hütte complete the climbing offer in Paznaun.

A true paradise for alpinists, climbing freaks and those who want to become one!

Challenge on the rock - bouldering paradise Galtür

  • Rock upon rock of primary rock at the foot of the panoramic Ballunspitze: with 175 possible routes, the area around Galtür is one of the largest boulder parks in Europe, and thanks to the high altitude, the temperatures here are extremely pleasant even in summer. Climbing in a fantastic location with impressive views is therefore guaranteed.
  • Beginner-friendly friction slabs, technical cracks and overhanging roofs - there is everything a boulderer's heart desires here. Beginners and pros alike can let off steam in the 8 sectors of varying difficulty. The absolute highlight is the Anam Cara 8C, the most difficult boulder in Tyrol and one of the most difficult in the world. Equally unique is the first children's outdoor bouldering area in Europe with lots of rocks to try out.
  • The bouldering blocks in Galtür are definitely worth a visit - even the much-traveled exceptional talent Bernd Zangerl loves to boulder here.
