At Geierwand, climbers will find well-protected single- and multi-pitch routes. The multi-pitch (pleasure) routes are listed separately under the "MSL" menu.
This sunny wall is climbable almost all year round, though it can get very hot in summer.
The area was developed by Kurt Bubik and climbing enthusiasts. From the single-pitch routes listed in the topo, it is possible to transition into an adjacent multi-pitch route.
Wearing a helmet is highly recommended!

Access
From the parking lot to the Raftingalm, follow the signs to the Geierwand via ferrata. The path leads across a meadow, then a short stretch along the motorway to the motorway overpass. After this, follow the signposted path to the entrance to the Geierwand via ferrata. To get to the routes, go left after the motorway overpass on the forest path past a rockfall net, then follow the path up.
Journey
Leave the A12 motorway at the Ötztal exit and drive to the roundabout at the beginning of the Ötztal. Here turn onto the B171 towards Haiming. After 2.7km turn at the roundabout into the town of Haiming and first follow the Ötztalerstrasse then the Alte Bundesstrasse. After the Inn bridge turn right and continue for about 1km to the parking lot.
