The 67 km long Ötztal guarantees a first-class nature and sports experience. Here you will not only find the highest waterfall in Tyrol, the Stuibenfall (159 m), and the second highest mountain in Austria, the Wildspitze (3,772 m), there is also no other valley in Tyrol where fantastic climbing areas and varied via ferratas and climbing gardens are as close together as here. The Ötztal therefore has something for every skill level!
And for those who want to move away from the rocks, an extensive program of outdoor activities awaits - from biking in the Bike Republic Sölden to a visit to the Aqua Dome - Tirol Therme Längenfeld or Area47 to exploring the numerous mountain railroads in Ötztal or Lake Piburger See in Oetz.

Climbing garden tips for sport climbers
A total of around 700 routes of varying degrees of difficulty await sport climbers in the countless climbing gardens of the Ötztal. It's hard to choose! Here are a few climbing garden tips:
- Längenfeld/Oberried climbing garden The Oberried climbing garden at the end of the Längenfeld valley basin is particularly suitable for families with its numerous easy routes. The adjacent cattle pasture makes climbing here a very special experience!
- Tumpen/Engelswand climbing garden Perfect for sport climbing for all skill levels! The climbing garden is ideally located, the access is easy - a separate parking lot, the large meadow at the foot of the wall and the diverse range of routes, including some multi-pitch tours, guarantee unique climbing fun.
- Piburg climbing garden With its easy routes, this climbing garden is particularly suitable for beginners and families with children. Not far from the climbing garden is also the new beginners' via ferrata.
- Längenfeld/Nösslach climbing garden Situated at the foot of the mighty granite wall above Nösslach, this climbing garden with its excellent rock quality offers enjoyable climbing. Multi-pitch tours in the cool shade of the spruce trees make this climbing garden an absolute insider tip!
