Adventurous courses, high fun factor!

The 67 km long Ötztal guarantees a first-class nature and sports experience. Here you will not only find the highest waterfall in Tyrol, the Stuibenfall (159 m), and the second highest mountain in Austria, the Wildspitze (3,772 m), there is also no other valley in Tyrol where fantastic climbing areas and varied via ferratas and climbing gardens are as close together as here. The Ötztal therefore has something for every skill level!

And for those who want to move away from the rocks, an extensive program of outdoor activities awaits - from biking in the Bike Republic Sölden to a visit to the Aqua Dome - Tirol Therme Längenfeld or Area47 to exploring the numerous mountain railroads in Ötztal or Lake Piburger See in Oetz.

Climbing hall tips in Ötztal

  • Austria's highest artificial climbing wall is located in Ötztal
Whether beginner or pro, at Area47, Austria's highest artificial climbing wall with 27 m and over 550 m² of climbing area, everyone gets their money's worth. If you're not so keen on heights, you can really work off your energy in the "Bouldercave". And if it's too warm, there are several tours in the deep-water solo area just waiting to get you into the cool water. Area47 is ideal for a #afterwork or #badweather training session both in the rain and in the evening after work, as the lead climbing area is located - well protected from the weather - on a bridge pillar.
  • The Ötz climbing tower - ideal for your first climbing experience
We recommend the Ötz climbing tower to beginners who want to get a taste of the world of climbing. The climbing height here is a little more comfortable at 10 m and the 50 m² climbing area offers plenty of varied routes. As the tower is located right next to the "Feel free Adventure Center" , it is a great place to take a climbing course. Beginners can take their first steps on the artificial holds and advanced climbers can brush up on their safety skills or work on their climbing moves with qualified trainers.
