The climbing area Zimmereben offers an exciting challenge with the Astegg via ferrata, featuring steep rock faces and narrow paths. Spanning 320 meters in length and with an elevation gain of 200 meters, it presents a difficulty level of C/D, making it ideal for advanced climbers. You will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Zillertal Alps, and the route is well-secured with steel cables, footholds, and ladders.

The standard route has a maximum difficulty level of C. There is also an option to choose a variant in the upper section with a difficulty level of D/E.

Access
You can access this via different climbing routes: Huterlaner or Zimmereben. However, the logical entry point is the Pfeilspitzwand climbing route. Right at the exit of the Pfeilspitzwand climbing route, you will find the entry to the Astegg climbing route.

Descent
The descent follows the newly constructed hiking trail directly to the Gasthof Zimmereben and continues along Trail No. C2 back to the starting point. Alternatively, you can combine the descent with a lovely hike to the Alpengasthof Astegg and continue on to Finkenberg.
