An easy via ferrata to one of the 4 peaks of the Heuberg.
In the neighbouring Samerberg, the round tour starts on the Wasserwand on the Heuberg, directly opposite the Erler Kranzhorn. The tour offers a short via ferrata on the summit structure and the possibility of up to 3 more summits in the immediate vicinity. The summit ascent should only take place in dry conditions. A via ferrata set and a helmet are recommended.

Access
The tour starts from the hiking car park at the Duftbräu on Samerberg. First of all, the route ascends through the forest and across a clearing. Then keep left and follow the signs to "Deindlhütte" and "Lagler Hütte". Above the huts the path leads directly up to the via ferrata entrance to the Wasserwand.
Descent
The descent is via the via ferrata back down. Then keep to the right and descend towards Kindlwand and Wassertal until the path joins the ascent path again.

The starting point is not accessible by public transport.
Journey
Via the A93 take the Brannenburg exit in the direction of Nußdorf. In Nußdorf turn left north in the direction of Neubeuern and follow this road for approx. 1 kilometer until you reach the Samerberg turnoff. Shortly after the gas station turn right and after approx. 4 km follow the signs on the right to the Duftbräu parking lot.
Parking
The car can be parked near the Gasthof Duft in the hiker's car park, subject to a charge.
