What does quarantine mean for professional athletes? Jakob Schubert
is stuck in: Innsbruck, Tyrol
"Of course, the situation is different at the moment and quite hard to bear, especially in this beautiful weather in Tyrol. But at least I have a nice garden in my shared flat in Innsbruck, where I can still get some fresh air and the sun shines in nicely. We have now installed our Beastmaker and another hangboard outside, although we had to get a bit creative. Last year it broke down inside."

"I'm lucky to live with Michael Piccolruaz, a South Tyrolean who also has a good chance of making it to the Olympics. Training as a pair is of course much more motivating than alone!"
"I try to use the time to work specifically on my weaknesses, for example flexibility. I stretch a lot and try mobilizing exercises, but to be honest: Not exactly my favorite exercises, I've always avoided them. But the current situation is a good opportunity to finally focus on exactly that. And also an opportunity to grow as a person."

"At the moment we're literally hanging out in our apartment. Grip board, rings, pull-up bar ... we're well equipped to keep fit and train our finger strength and body tension. Of course, it's a lot harder to motivate yourself indoors, no comparison to the days on the rock in nature. But it's all the better afterwards: we can hardly wait until it's that time again!"
