A cross-border experience in the Steinberge mountain sports region
Downhill Leogang
Vacation planning according to "HIGHS and LOWS"
Cycling or climbing, Salzburg or Tyrol, in the Steinberge mountain sports region this question is superfluous. The shocks are on full power, the brakes are hot - if you want to push yourself to the limit, the World Cup downhill course in Leogang is the place to be. The World Cup circus has been stopping off here with its stars for years. So you will find the best conditions to really let it rip on your bike. There are trails here not just for professionals but for everyone. The rental service will also help you out if you just want to give this sport a try.
As is the case with us climbers, once we're down, we naturally want to get back up and preferably straight away. Opposite the downhill park, you will find a remedy in the form of the "Leoganger Süd" via ferrata to the Mitterspitze. An experience up to over 2,100 meters. If you don't want to stop with the ups and downs, you can also descend via the "Leoganger Nord" via ferrata.
Climbing then takes place in Tyrol, at the idyllic Wiesensee climbing garden between Ortisei and Hochfilzen. There's something for everyone here, even the little ones. If you want to put your skills to the test, you can try out the short but challenging "Hondwagei" route. And if you need to cool off afterwards, you can always jump into the cool water.
