Most of the cows are already in the barns in the valley. The alpine season is coming to an end. But a few huts are still open for hikers and climbers, at least next weekend and maybe even the next. So let's get up the mountain! We'll show you five via ferratas close to huts that you should definitely enjoy at the end of the season.
1st via ferrata at Achensee with a stop at the Erfurter Hütte
The challenging 5-peak Rosskopf via ferrata in the Rofan on Lake Achensee is a must for all passionate via ferrata climbers. After the via ferrata experience, you can fortify yourself with a few delicacies at the Erfurter Hütte.
2nd via ferrata at the Muttekopfhütte
The via ferrata in the Imst vacation region near the Muttekopfhütte leads past a waterfall. The climb is ideal for young people and families. However, caution is advised with children, as the footholds can be too far apart for them, depending on their height. After the family climb, you can stop off at the Muttekopfhütte and reflect on your experience.

3. climbing park Pitztal glacier with a stop at the Braunschweiger hut
There are four via ferratas in the Pitztal Glacier Climbing Park: the Adventure Climb, the Marmot Climb, the Chamois Climb and the Ibex Climb. So there is something for everyone, whether beginner or expert. Even children from the age of 10 can go on the adventure via ferrata. The Braunschweiger Hütte is located very close to the via ferrata and invites you to stop for a bite to eat.
4th Leogang North or South with a stop at the Passauer Hütte
In the Steinberge region, the Passauer Hütte is close to the Leoganger Nord and Leoganger Süd via ferratas. Both via ferratas are challenging, although the Leogang South via ferrata is only suitable for very experienced mountaineers.
5th via ferrata at the Wilder Kaiser with a stop at the Wochenbrunner Alm
The Wilder Kaiser also offers a wide range of via ferratas. For example, the practice via ferrata is easy for beginners. The Kamml via ferrata, on the other hand, offers more of a challenge with its two-rope bridge. For refreshments, the Wochenbrunner Alm is located very close to the via ferrata.

Important note
Please always pay attention to the weather and find out in advance whether the via ferratas are still accessible. Depending on the temperature and weather conditions, this can change quickly. The opening hours of the huts can also be changed spontaneously.
