The "boulder-motivated" members of the Mauerfix group made their way to the Pitztal. Bright sunshine and the opening of the new bouldering area "Mandlers Boden" were on the agenda. Expectations were rather high after our "Magic Wood" trip in June, but we were certainly not disappointed.
"Herzbluat" - 6a
44 blocks with approx. 180 boulder problems are available and cover the entire difficulty scale - from very easy to extremely difficult. The opening was a complete success, many boulderers and especially many children were there and enjoyed the beautiful day. In the morning we bouldered together with the children and tried to pass on a bit of knowledge to them - the joy was great and for many it was certainly not the last bouldering or climbing excursion.
After the children had climbed enough, we grabbed our bouldering mats again and slowly hiked deeper into the forest to explore as much of the new area as possible. We were able to tick off a few of the boulders quickly, but the later it got the more projects came up.

The newly built Boudler area is certainly a great addition to the constantly growing climbing offer in Tyrol. Bouldering halls have been springing up like mushrooms recently, but when the weather is nice, there has to be an opportunity to put what you have learned into practice on the rock. With the "Mandlers Boden" project, the people of Pitztal have definitely taken a step in the right direction.
Something important has been implemented very well in the Pitztal, namely to offer a training opportunity for all skill levels. Whether beginner or pro, "Plattenfuchs" or "Kraftlaggl" - everyone will find exactly the right project for them at "Mandlers Boden".
It certainly wasn't the last trip to the Pitztal for the Mauerfix, as the projects they started still have to be completed
