Our readers' favorite via ferratas, part 1

We introduce you to our readers' favorite via ferrata routes. Now it's just a case of packing your rucksack, via ferrata set, helmet and gloves and good shoes and setting off while the weather still cooperates.

1st via ferrata Buchau on the Achensee

A lot of water is guaranteed on the Buchau via ferrata on Achensee: it is quite short (30 min.) and leads along the Dalfaz waterfall and ends at the hiking trail to the Dalfaz Alm, where you can stop for a bite to eat afterwards.

2nd Kaiser-Max via ferrata in Innsbruck

The Kaiser-Max via ferrata is rated "E". Only experienced climbers with perfect technique should attempt this route, as vertical slab climbing with few footholds awaits climbers, especially in the second section.

3rd Stuibenfall in Ötztal

The Stuibenfall can already be called a classic among the Ötztal via ferratas. It is suitable for the whole family and leads beautifully along and through the walls of the Stuibenfall.

4th via ferrata Steinwand in Pitztal

At the beginning of the Pitztal valley, a short ascent takes you to the start of the via ferrata. The special feature of the Steinwand via ferrata is that there are 2 variants that lead together again at the exit. This means that climbers of different levels and families can explore the difficulty levels and complete the via ferrata together.

5th Lachenspitze north face in the Tannheimer Tal

The north face of the Lachenspitze is challenging and requires fitness and above all arm strength. But the efforts are rewarded with a great line and wonderful views. After the descent (approx. 30-50 minutes), you can treat yourself to culinary delights at the Landsberger Hütte.
