Kaunertal! Climbing garden Fernergries with glacier panorama

All Tyroleans know the Kaunertal, but mostly only from skiing in winter. But it is also beautiful in summer and the best thing about it: climbing gardens have also been built there. We wanted to take a look and decided to take a day trip to the Kaunertal on a Saturday to the Fernergries climbing garden. It took us about 1 1/2 hours to get there from Seefeld. As beautiful as the winding glacier road is, you should be aware that it is a toll road and you have to pay around €23. But you can make the most of your day there, as the beautiful landscape invites you to hike, picnic, take photos and much more in addition to climbing.

Climbing:

In my opinion, the climbing garden is ideal for families who can spend the whole day there or for those who are just starting out with climbing. There are two sectors here and the walls are not particularly steep. You should also bear in mind that it is not always warm and windless at almost 2000 meters above sea level - so don't forget your jacket, headband and sun protection. If you are looking for more of a challenge, there is also the option of visiting the two other climbing gardens(Grünstein, Keilschrofen ) in the Kaunertal.

The Kaunertal is definitely worth a visit! Let's go and let it rip!
