The SAAC is swapping powder for chalk and is looking forward to more than ten free SAAC CLIMB CAMPS. Registration for the climbing camps starts on April 15, 2019.
The free SAAC CLIMB Camps teach know-how in an understandable way, with lots of fun and no finger-wagging. In theory and practice, the focus is on safety aspects, technique, climbing equipment and material.
Behavior in emergency situations is also taught at the climbing camps. The climbing camps are led by state-certified mountain guides and bike instructors and last two days. Anyone aged 14 and over can take part.

Requirements for participation
The following requirements apply for the CLIMB Basic Camps: Sport climbing ability at least IV. to V. Grade UIAA (safe holding of a fall and sufficient fitness) or sufficient fitness and surefootedness for the via ferrata camps. Equipment can be borrowed free of charge if requested at the time of registration.
