All the climbing gardens presented can be reached via a short approach, are well secured, offer routes of varying degrees of difficulty and have plenty of space for playing, picnicking and relaxing.

1st Locherboden climbing garden

The Locherboden climbing garden near Innsbruck and its vacation villages can be reached in 10 minutes from the parking lot of the pilgrimage church. Located on the south side of the forest, 30 well-secured routes await climbers. Especially in the lower grades (3rd-5th), young and old climbers can really try their hand at family climbing.

2nd Kaiserklettergarten

Close to the Gaudeamushütte in the Wilder Kaiser region, the Kaiserklettergarten offers 16 tours up to the 6th level of difficulty on the Gamsfelsen or the Murmeltierfelsen. A stop at the Gaudeamushütte or the Wochenbrunneralm round off the family climbing experience perfectly.

3. climbing garden Nassereith - botanical garden

The Nassereith climbing garden

The Nassereith climbing garden in the Imst vacation region is a small climbing garden with many tours in the 3rd level of difficulty. Even in midsummer, you can always find a shady spot thanks to the south-east-west orientation. A helmet is mandatory here, as there is wildlife above the climbing rocks.

4th Platzl climbing garden

There are a total of 5 family-friendly climbing gardens at Achensee. The Platzl climbing garden is located between the two climbing gardens Grubastiege and Grubaplatte. The Platzl offers easy-grip slab climbing for children on a 20m wall. Those who would like to practice lead climbing should gain their first meters of lead climbing experience here.

5. climbing garden Prutz/Sauerbrunn

The small Prutz/Sauerbrunn climbing garden in the Tyrolean Oberland with 6 routes has its own mineral water spring and is adjacent to a playground. There is plenty of shade in the afternoon - Sauerbrunn is a great excursion tip if you want to combine climbing and playing with the family.
