Climbing courses and camps for every mountain fan

Dedicate a whole day or even several days to climbing or via ferrata - so beginners can learn the basics quickly and experts can continue to improve. On top of that, participants have fun in a group. A climbing course or via ferrata camp is therefore an opportunity to get to know climbing or mountaineering and to expand your knowledge and experience. Whether young, old, beginner or advanced - there are climbing courses for everyone who wants to have fun on the mountain.

We show you the climbing camps for summer 2018:

Fit for the via ferrata: Climbhow Ferrata - the course to get you started on via ferratas

In this one-day course, participants learn basic techniques, how to use via ferrata equipment and how to plan a via ferrata tour correctly. Participation is free of charge. The only requirements for participation are a minimum age of 14 years and a basic level of fitness. Participants should also have their own equipment. However, equipment can also be hired on request.

SAAC via ferrata camp - the course for beginners and advanced climbers

Over 1.5 days, the SAAC mountain guides teach you everything you need to know about via ferrata safety in theory and practice. Participants are divided into four groups of different abilities. This means that both beginners and experienced climbers get their money's worth. However, a prerequisite for participation in the via ferrata camp is a head for heights and surefootedness. Participants should also be over 14 years old. Participation is generally free of charge, only the costs for the cable car and shuttle have to be paid by the participants.

Fit for climbing: Young Climbers - the taster climbing course for young and old

On this course, children and their adult companions learn the basics of climbing, how to use belay devices and how to abseil together. Participation in this one-day course is free of charge. All you need is a basic level of fitness and a desire to climb. Children over the age of 7 may also take part without being accompanied by their parents. All children should also be at least five years old to take part.

SAAC climbing camp - the course for climbing safety

This climbing course is for sport climbers who are able to climb routes with difficulty levels IV to V of the UIAA, are sure-footed and have sufficient stamina. The SAAC mountain guides will teach you everything you need to know about safe rock climbing in theory and practice. Participation in the climbing camp is free of charge. Only the costs for the cable car and the shuttle have to be paid by the participants themselves.

Alpine climbing and adventure fun: The Karwendel I and II climbing camps

A whole week of fun with children/young people of the same age in the midst of alpine nature - that's what awaits the participants of the Karwendel I and II climbing camps. They are supervised by an experienced team from the Alpine Club Academy. While the Karwendel I climbing camp is specifically for children aged 10 to 12, the Karwendel II climbing camp is for teenagers aged 13 to 15. Both camps take place at the Solsteinhaus. There, the children and young people receive full board and overnight accommodation. Participation in the camps costs 320.00 euros each for members of the Alpine Club.

The Maximal Kaiser Camp

Young people aged 15 to 19 can experience hiking, climbing and other alpine adventures at the Maximal Kaiser Camp. Here, too, the children are guided and supervised for a week by an experienced team from the Alpine Club Academy. They spend the night at the Fritz-Pflaum-Hütte. There, the youngsters receive full board. Participation costs 360.00 euros for members of the Alpine Club. Siblings registered with the Alpine Club pay 330.00 euros.
