Burschlwand with a stop at the 5*-Würstlstandl

1 p.m. - it's time for room hour in the hospitality industry. A quick thought, a quick decision and off we go to the Burschlwandl in Zams in the Tirol West vacation region. We have time until 6 p.m. - but it should be tight!

The weather forecast was relatively stable, which unfortunately doesn't mean much given the current weather conditions. BUT no matter - we'll find a solution in an emergency!

Shortly before the start of the Burschlwand, there is a free parking lot and a large overview map of the topos. We decide on the Mon Cherie 6a+ route with 6 pitches.

As the devil would have it, it starts raining heavily on the 3rd pitch - so it's no use, we have to go back down. Once again, we're running out of time to start work. Nevertheless, we'll be back.

There are really many beautiful climbs on the 170 m high Burschlwand.

The wall faces south-east and is more than well secured with bolts and pitons. It's always worth trying your hand at this huge limestone wall on compact rock!

Topos for the Burschlwand can be found here.

AND last but not least, PLEASE don't forget: A stop at the sausage stand at the parking lot is an absolute MUST!

A friendly staff behind the counter and super good food. From currywurst to tomato and mozzarella sausage, everything is lovingly prepared and the beer is ice cold. Just enough so that you don't have to suck it (according to the boss). What more could you want? It can sometimes rain out of the wall, at the sausage stand with a nice "Hoangat und am Schnapsl" everything is half as wild!

And now off to work, see you soon

Flo and July
