Achensee/Erfurter Hütte
Every via ferrata heart beats faster around the Erfurter Hütte : 5 via ferrata routes await visitors.
The Haidachstellwand via ferrata is ideal for slightly advanced climbers with a difficulty level of B/C and an ascent time from the hut of 50 minutes.

Via ferrata Haidachstellwand in the Achensee regionFor the Spieljoch via ferrata (C), you should already have a few tours under your belt before tackling it. Including ascent and descent, you should allow around 3 hours for the entire tour.
For via ferrata experts, the steep, Dolomite-like Rosskopf is certainly a spectacular challenge. Rated in the C/D difficulty range, it involves climbing 150 meters in altitude. And if you're lucky, you'll find one of the many edelweiss nests.
The Hochiss via ferrata C/D leads to the highest mountain in the Rofan. It takes about 1.5 hours to reach the start from the hut.
Please note: The Erfurter Hütte is a very popular refuge. We recommend booking early and planning the tour during the week and booking early.

Imst/Muttekopfhütte vacation region
The idyllic Muttekopfhütte is located in the Imst vacation region.
The hut is an ideal starting point for via ferrata enthusiasts. Ideally, you should spend two nights at the hut and tackle both via ferratas. To warm up, we recommend the Muttekopfhütte via ferrata right next to the hut. With a difficulty rating of B/C, it is also ideal for beginners and families.
The Maldonkopf C/D is suitable for experienced climbers or as a follow-up tour.
Tip: The Muttekopfhütte offers a varied program for pleasure-seekers every summer and into autumn. Yoga and climbing, concerts, percussion and yodelling are just a few highlights from the 2017 program. Just take a look at the website and be inspired.

Pitztal: Pitztal Glacier climbing park/Braunschweiger Hut
The Braunschweiger Hütte at 2,759 m at the end of the Pitztal Valley in the Ötztal Alps offers high alpine flair in the immediate vicinity of the glacier. The hut is an ideal starting point for visiting the Pitztal Glacier climbing park.
A total of 4 ascent variants B/C/D make the via ferrata an excursion destination for the whole family and children from the age of 10 can carefully approach the great via ferrata adventure via the adventure via ferrata.

Steinberge/Passauer Hütte
The Passauer Hütte in the Leoganger Steinberge is also a picturesque starting point for challenging via ferrata tours. However, only experienced climbers should venture up the wall here. Both via ferratas lead to the summit of the Westliche Mittelspitze (2,160 m) and can be reached from the hut in around 15 minutes.
The easier variant to the Mittelspitze is the Leoganger-Nord via ferrata B/C.

The Leoganger-Süd via ferrata with its difficulty level C/D is a very challenging tour over a constantly steep wall.

Wilder Kaiser/Gaudeamushütte
Undisputed: The Wilder Kaiser is an Eldorado for climbers and also for via ferrata fans. With the rustic Gaudeamushütte as a base, you can easily spend a few days on the varied via ferratas - the range of via ferratas around the hut is remarkable. Everyone will find their playground and via ferrata happiness here.
Here you will find a list of via ferratas ranked according to difficulty:
1) For beginners, there is the Jubiläumssteig, which is classified as a difficult mountain trail and is recommended as a preliminary stage for all via ferrata newcomers. In addition to the Gaudeamushütte, the Gruttenhütte is also a great place to stop for refreshments on this mountain tour.
2) The practice via ferrata is a very scenic via ferrata in difficulty level B/CB.
3) Those who feel confident in grade D should definitely try the Klamml via ferrata.
