The Climbers Paradise Tirol offers a whole range of certified "family climbing gardens", which are easy to reach, offer play facilities in the surrounding area and easy to moderately difficult routes, so that all family members get their money's worth. Here are four of the best spots for the fall.
1. bouldering in Hochimst
The two bouldering areas U-Alm Hualig Almeck and Reithle in the Outdoor region Imst are easy to reach thanks to the Imst mountain railroad. You can even hire crash pads at the Untermarkter Alm and hike to the bouldering rocks in a leisurely 10 minutes. After climbing, you can make yourself comfortable on the sun terrace of the Untermarkter Alm before offering the children a very special highlight: the Alpine Coaster, which whizzes you down into the valley.

2 Mötz - family climbing garden near Innsbruck
As a sports, university and cultural city, Innsbruck has a lot to offer. Climbing in particular plays a major role around the Tyrolean capital. If you are traveling with the whole family in the Innsbruck region, we recommend a detour to the Mötz climbing garden, which was newly developed in 2020 and certified as a family climbing area. 20 routes in difficulty levels 3a to 6c+ are waiting to be climbed.
3. via ferrata routes suitable for children at Achensee and the Wilder Kaiser Mini via ferrata at Achensee Children can gain their first experience on the Felix & Charlotte via ferrata in the Achensee region. The mountain station of the Rofan cable car can be easily reached by gondola up to and including November 1st. From here, you descend a short distance to the start of the via ferrata. Well-secured, you walk along the via ferrata back up to the mountain station and thus to the Erfurter Hütte. The last cable car departs at 5 pm, by which time there will certainly still be time for a hearty snack in the hut.

On the Wilder Kaiser: practice via ferrata above the Gaudeamushütte hut Would you like to gently introduce your children to via ferrata climbing? Then the practice via f errata above the Gaudeamushütte in the Wilder Kaiser region is just right for you: at 50 meters, the iron path is short and therefore ideal terrain for beginners who want to get used to the height and exposure of via ferratas in peace and quiet. After all, you can repeat the climb as often as you like. The "Gaudi" hut, as it is affectionately known by the locals, is only 20 minutes away and invites you to stop for refreshments afterwards.

4th tightrope act on the Tyrolean side of the Zugspitze
Another extremely attractive option to make children's eyes light up: a visit to a high ropes course. After a detailed briefing and well-secured, you can climb from platform to platform, sometimes at dizzying heights, over wobbly bridges, through rope nets, over sledges or on ropes over a wide variety of obstacles. The Bichlbach climbing forest in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena is in the middle of the forest, idyllic and close to nature.
